Where does the Liberty fabric come from?

Appearing in the early 20th century in England, the Liberty pattern owes its name to Arthur Lasenby Liberty, an apprentice draper in London. In 1857, after returning from his oriental travels, he opened the "Liberty of London" shop in the heart of the British capital. Porcelain, fabrics, silks, his products were an immediate success. Nine years later, he created "Liberty". This soft and silky fabric with colorful patterns, not necessarily floral, will become timeless.
